1. Test the iQuipment PC services:
Do you have your iPhone handy? We will use Safari for testing purposes to see if your iPhone can see your PC on your local network. Launch the Safari browser,(on your iPhone) then enter. http://[the name you have just choosen]/hello/ (for instance, http://192.168.1.5/hello/)n If you have chosen the right IP, you should see the message "Hello, iQuipment PC is now ..." on the browser.
2. iQuipment PC is not running.
3. WIFI network is down.
4. Your iPhone and the Windows PC are on different WiFi networks. Go to iPhone settings > Wi-Fi to determine the router name. Is this router "addressable" (you can ping it) from the router that your Windows PC connects? If your iPhone is on a phone network (no Wi-Fi connection), make sure your Windows PC's IP address is "addressable" on the internet. Check "How can I remotely control my iPhone app from anywhere?" on the FAQ if you need to know how to make your home Windows PC "addressable" on the internet.
5. Error in URL entry: On iQuipment PC, open the view (XML) file, then click the "viewUrl" node to see the correct URL. Compare this URL to the URL you have entered on the iPhone.
6. Blocked by firewall. Review "How to prevent port blocked by Firewall?" on FAQ if you need help on this.
